MFA in Theatre Design-Humboldt State University
Maryanne holds an Associate of Arts Degree from The Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts (PCPA) at Allan Hancock College, a BA in Theatre and a MFA from Humboldt State University in Costume Design & Technology, with an emphasis in Stage Makeup, Mask Design and Puppetry.
Maryanne’ s numerous design credits include The Beard of Avon, Cyrano de Bergerac, Pride and Prejudice, East of the Sun and West of the Moon, The Magic Flute, Aida, West Side Story, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Skin of Our Teeth, and Cabaret.
In addition to her work at SRJC Maryanne has taught and designed at HSU, College of the Redwoods, University of Redlands, Ferndale Repertory Theatre, North Coast Rep., Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts, Dell ‘Arte Players, and Summer Repertory Theatre.
Maryanne is the recipient of the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival Region VIII Costume Design award, including being named the KC/ACTF Region VIII Faculty Fellowship Nominee in Costume Design 2007. The Academic Senate also recognized her for excellence in teaching. Maryanne serves on the Nomination Committee for the Western Region of the Costume Society of America and she is a member of the Costume Design & Technology Commission for the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, San Francisco Bay Area Puppeteers Guild, and Puppeteers of America.
